Fuel Filter Replacement

The function of the fuel filter is to separate harmful contaminants that can cause problems with your car’s carburetor or fuel injectors.

The fuel filter is designed to filter out contaminates and prticulates from the fuel as it is pumped from the fuel tankm through the fuel filter and then on to the injection system. When a fuel filter begins to get dirty it restricts the flow of fuel through the filter element. This restriction can reduces the the efficiency of your vehicle as well as decrease the life of your fuel pump, leading to costly repairs. Most manufacturers recommend replacing the vehicle’s fuel filter between 15,000 and 30,000 miles.

A clean and properly functioning fuel filter will maximize your car’s fuel economy and engine performance. Check your vehicle manufacturer’s “severe service” recommendation schedule to determine the best mileage to replace your fuel filter
